Liliana Washburn is a Brazil native who now lives in New York. Her early artistic expression was mainly building kites, creative cake design and cloth flower arrangements. Liliana's work is now an exploration of the subconscious mind. She uses lines and colors to express human emotions.

While in Brazil, she received a BA in Licentiate in Letters and a BS in Computer Science. In 2007, she received a scholarship from Vassar College: Exploring Vassar Transfer. In 2012, she graduated from SUNY New Paltz "Summa Cum Laude" Latin Honors. In 2016, she attended her first residency in Poland, and received the Pawling Public Radio Award. Liliana has visited thirteen countries including Egypt, Spain, Austria and France.

She likes to be called "Lili" as this is her nickname from childhood. She currently lives in Holmes, New York with her husband of fifteen years.

Liliana's work is part of several private collections, nationally and internationally.
